it's bananas....

forget the price of gas...
i bought ONE BANANA today and paid 87 cents for it...bananas are supposed to be 19 cents...
Interestingly, Smithsonian has an article this month about world-wide bananas, in many parts of the world they are major STAPLES. Seems us Americans get short-changed with our only real type, the Cavendish, which is alot less tasty than more popular types elsewhere.
Bought a couple clumps of bananas this morning, still $0.49 a pound. Seems someone is price-gouging you on bananas. LOL
Bush doesn't care about anything, except for his buddies at United Brands to have non-union labor in Central America for their banana-profits. We can be sure he cares about that. So we really have to say he does indeed care about bananas. In that context, at least. LMAO
